Hello and welcome to Northern Lights Records. Back in the day, there was record store on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, around the corner from the city’s best, and most famous, club. We’ve taken our name from this record store, where choice vinyl and CDs could be found in the bins.
All items are digital files only. There are no physical products and no shipping, at all, at this site. When you see images of booklets and discs, those are images that you receive in your order, along with audio files packaged in .rar file format. A .rar is almost exactly like a .zip file. It needs to be extracted to access the contents. Read all about it here.
Our mission is to share this energizing, uplifting, spiritually restorative music to what will hopefully be a new generation of fans, at a time when the world just simply needs more good things. Before launch, our pricing model was dialed down 3 times. We’re not here to exploit, but to spread positivity and enjoyment. We do have costs to cover, too. Another site offers a single-CD release (Chanhassen Rehearsal 2), listed as being originally $95, on sale for $30. That’s bunk.
